Can I apply to be on the executive board and the magazine team?

Yes! You may apply for a role on both teams! However, please ensure to send in 2 separate applications :)
Where does HerGov get funding from?

From our wonderful sponsors, the Riley's Way Foundation!
Do I have to pay anything?

Nope! Applications and membership of any HerGov team is entirely free-of charge. Materials will be provided for magazine team members, and complimentary food, drink, and (some) transportation will be provided to executive board members!
Where did the idea for HerGov come from?

It's me, the founder, Bri, to answer this question-- I got the idea for HerGov by working in local government and politics. I realized how many of my peers were not civically educated, did not know what was going on in local government and politics, and I saw a problem with that. Additionally, after performing my own observations and doing research, I realized how deep the gender gap in government & politics actually is, and how it is not often highlighted. After these two realizations, the idea for HerGov came about!
Will HerGov really get me real experience in civics, government, and politics?

Yes! HerGov's founder, Bri Blair, as well as the Riley's Way Foundation both have many connections in government, politics, and civics organizations! Therefore, real experience in working with those in government & politics will absolutely be available!
