Magazine Team Applications
Requirements:
Please read through and ensure that you meet all requirements before applying to the magazine team!
If applying for an editor, writer, or journalist position, you must be proficient in the Google suite.
If applying for a graphic designer, photographer, or staff artist position, you must be proficient in Canva. (Canva pro benefits will be provided)
The magazine team meetings will be on zoom. Access to camera and microphone are required!
Applicant Info
You must be at least 15 years of age at the time of application. You may be no older than 18 years of age at the time of application. Additionally, all applicants must have at least started or been in high school during the 2023-2024 school year.

Additionally, you must identify as female, non-binary, or gender non-conforming (essentially non-male) to be eligible to be a part of HerGov.
Time Commitment
The magazine team is responsible for creating HerGov's bi-monthly online magazine to educate teens across the United States about civics, government, & politics. Therefore, the time commitment for HerGov's magazine team members is 1-3 hours per week.

NOTE: The time commitment varies largely on position, skill level, and whether or not you have a leadership role!
Location
As this is a digital magazine, applicants (besides a few specific roles) may be from abroad. Magazine team meetings and collaboration will be through Zoom meetings and Slack.

NOTE: The following magazine team positions require you to live in Maricopa County, AZ to attend in-person events or carry-out in-person duties:
